eCommerce Ready

- Our supplied standard eCommerce Template allows an instant integration (after setup) to your Back Office software.
- The system can be setup to be 'eCommerce' only, providing an attractive eCommerce site driven by a proven and powerful retail store system.
- The eCommerce site is treated as a normal POS Lane by the eStream Back Office.
- Changes made in the office are reflected on the Web Site and POS Lanes during the same update.

- The POS Lanes do not need to be open for file sharing or have to rely on a central Server - They can run completely stand alone!

- Credit,Debit and Gift card payments are processed through Mercury Payment Systems.
- Batches can be closed at the Point of Sale or automatically at a preset time.
- Mercury Payments provides detailed, web driven, batch analysis and totals reports.
- eStream Office Cashier Reports breakdown the Major Charge Card/Gift and Debit Card payments.
- Gift Cards can be loaded and used as a payment at the POS Lanes up to a preset limit.
- Mercury Payments offers a personalized Gift Card printing and numbering program.

Simple System Integration
|

- eStream 'Office' uses an industry standard Microsoft Database System capable of holding many years worth of data.
- The database can be copied and read into Microsoft Office, (Access, Excel and Word), Crystal Reports and other third party reporting and data mining systems.
- The eStream Office software contains standard exports of Sales Data to Comma Separated Value ('csv') files, which can be imported into other programs.
- The customer loyalty program contains an extensive, easy to use query tool for targeted mailouts etc.
- eStream's customer loyalty program also provides an export to Microsft 'Access' containing records based on the Loyalty query tool's results.
- Multiple tables can also be queried and the resulting data exported as a .csv file.
- Tables can be archived and saved as XML data if required.

- The system documentation is available online and supplied electronically with the initial system download.
- The manuals can be downloaded to any machine and read stand alone.
- Each Manual is a work in progress, being continually updated as we add new features to the software.
- Documentation updates are posted on this site as they are released.
- It is free to decompile the documentation in order to assemble a custom manual more geared to your specific business.

MS Windows XP Compatible
|
|
- eStream is designed from the ground up using Microsoft only development tools and as a result is totally compatible with the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Operating System.
- The eStream Office software can even share a computer with one eStream Lane if required for small stores with limited space and an infrequent sales environment.
- For busier stores, we recommend that each lane be a dedicated PC, designed to run stand alone, with the eStream Office installed on another PC on the same network.
- For small businesses running a simple LAN, Windows XP Home is all that is required on the Back Office and and Lanes to function
- Windows XP Professional is required for integration into domain enviroments or Multi User Client systems
- eStream OFfice is designed to run on Windows Server 2003 (Min 5 CAL License) when required for businesses that require Multiple User access to the Back Office

Industry Standard Hardware

- All of the eStream System software is designed to run on an average modern PC, running Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows Server 2003.

- The POS Lane software supports Epson TM Thermal Printers and Metrologic Scanners ONLY.
- The lanes support any electronic Cash Drawer that can be fired from the Epson printer.
- Any touch screen that supports an 800 x 600 resolution can be used on the POS Lanes.
- We adopt this policy as Epson and Metrologic products are a standard available world wide, both companies providing excellent product support.
- The POS Lanes Interface to these peripherals using drivers designed for Microsoft Windows XP only.
- The resulting combination provides a very stable and reliable platform which will work for you day in and day out.
- The system is ideal for remote locations as the standard hardware replacements and parts can be obtained easily.
